Dan found his love for music when he was 10 years old. He credits his Mom for introducing him into the world of music. “ I learned everything from her, Thank You Mom” She is gone now but still lives in his heart with his songs and music. He also gives thanks to God for his musical ability.
His band career began 15 years ago with Dangerous Dan & The Boogiemen. The band played Texas blues and rockin boogie at several clubs in Oklahoma City along with jamming at all the jam sessions. At this time Dan was working daily and raising a family so this limited his playing time because his first priority was his family.
In early 2003 he walked into a jam session at the Biting Sow, a cool laid back blues club at the west end of Bricktown in the center of Oklahoma City. The jam was hosted by Doc Blues & Leapin Lannie Williams.(co-founder of The Danger Zone). “I jammed with them on the bass guitar and also sang some of my original songs. I continued to play with Doc for the next 2 years while also trying to build my own band. While playing with Doc every Friday and Saturday I met many musicians…..Sweet Brenda ( Janice Joplin re-incarnated) and Stormin Norman Atherton, my lead guitar player for a
number of years.
The band fills the clubs with energy and soul. The other members of the band flow into this same energy and enthusiasm. The finishing touch is the soulful methodic voice of Dan Danger.
